Edmonton Pride Week Activities

Friday, June 15th Pride Awards
7:00pm City Hall
Saturday, June 16th
Pride Parade
Begins at 2 PM,
the parade will be starting at 108 St and Jasper Ave. Moving East along Jasper Ave, the parade will turn North on 99 St before coming to a stop at Churchill Square.
Celebration on the Square 3:00-6:00pm
Includes the Business and Community Group Fair, live entertainment, food vendors and beer gardens.
Womonspace: Pride Week Unity Dance
A mixed dance from 9 PM - 1 AM.
$7.00 members$12.00 non-members.
Tickets available at the Edmonton Pride Centre, Woody's, Prism and Earth's General Store.

Sunday, June 17th
Pride Run Edmonton Frontrunners invites all interested to join in on their first Pride Run! (runners of all speeds are welcome). The 45-50 minute run/walk is scheduled to begin at 10 AM from the west end of the parking lot in Emily Murphy Park, south end of the Groat Road Bridge. Cool down afterwards with refreshments in the park.
Mayor's Pride Brunch Special Guest Mayor Stephen Mandel.

Volleyball & Tennis Group Pride Open House
This is a kick-off to the summer season and the perfect chance to get involved in a summer league, catch some sun and meet new people.
Come down and play or just watch the action! All skill levels welcome. Refreshments available.
1:30 PM - 3:30 PM at Kinsmen Park, next to the Husky House.

Parents In The Closet: The Family's Coming Out Experience
A discussion of the coming out process for parents with GLBT children, moderated by Edmonton Journal Columnist Paula Simons. Panelists from 5 different families will be presenting their varied viewpoints, including Dennis and Ruth Vriend.

An evening of contemporary offering in queer cinema.

EVM Concert: Forever Young
A Folk Music Hootenanny1960's classics made popular by Three Dog night, Fleetwood Mac, Kirk Franklin and Holy Near will mix with freedom songs and anthems from the early days of the Gay Pride movement.
